She’ll work alongside teachers, administrators, famlies and citizens to support plans and decisions that reflect the character and values of the many amazing communities in Wichita. Passionate about the need to fully fund public education and its programs, she’ll focus on a sustainable budget that supports staff and prioritizes neighborhood schools.
Student focused; Supported staff
As a parent of 3 current WPS students and involved community member, she sees the promises and challenges within our schools. She’ll focus on research-backed solutions that encourage a deep love of learning and promote achievement in academics and in life. Teachers and staff are essential to the learning process and deserve pay, benefits, and professional development that reflect their value. She’ll focus on opportunties to increase teacher retention and improve safety and belonging, not just with students, but staff as well.

Amy brings experience that can re-focus the school day. With informed policies that support attention, foster teacher-student connection and educate the way developing brains learn best, she’ll work hard for solutions that support teachers in the classroom and encourage students’ communication skills throughout the school day.
